Cycle: 3,000 miles Trans-Australia

East to West
3,000 miles
30 days

The pure size and scale of this leg is what makes it a daunting task. Australia, the largest country in the world not to share a land border and expands for 2,967,892 square miles. We expect to face desolate terrain, uncomfortable riding temperatures and long periods of time away from civilisation. The team will pedal from East to West and you are invited to join them in this test of endurance.

Whether it be the whole way, or part of the journey, contact us now to get involved.

Row: 5,000 miles Trans-Indian Ocean

West coast Australia to Mozambique
5,500 miles
100 days

Only 200 people in the World have recorded an ocean row; which is less than a tenth of people who have reached the summit of Mt. Everest or less than half the people who have visited outer space. Only 4 people have successfully rowed the Indian Ocean. The Ultri-team will row a 29ft glass fibre composite ‘row boat’. The custom craft is specially designed to be self-righting and will be equipped throughout with watertight hatches and bulkheads. The crossing will be self-sufficient; no re-supply en-route. The team will set a gruelling 2 hours on 2 hours off rowing schedule for 24 hours a day for three months. During the scheduled 2 hours off they will  need to take care of cooking, cleaning,  boat maintenance, hygiene and where possible sleep. They will be faced with some of the toughest conditions imaginable, with the constant threat of rogue waves, side winds and strong currents.  This section of the challenge on its own will be a record breaking attempt.

Run: 600 miles across Madagascar

Madagascar
600 miles
45 days

Imagine running an average distance of a Marathon and a half a day. Not only this, but in a remote corner of the world. Docking from their tiring row at the East coast of Madagascar, it is a gruelling 600miles across a mixture of tarmac and rough track roads to the West of the country. The run will be supported by an off-road mobile home and the team plan to take the opportunity to stay in the townships on their way through.
